BMW new 7 series, the collaboration of classical sense and high tech

[Kim, Song-Yi] BMW recently revealed new 7 series, the 6th generation model. BMW’s signature front grille, Kidney grille becomes larger, and head lamps designed to emphasize the sense of unity can be found. The front design emphasizes horizontal lines, and through the grille, new 7 series gives classical and authoritative image and impression.

In terms of the rear body, the horizontal rear lamps are designed to be united with the chrome bars to look more innovative and sporty. The typical proportion of the rear-wheel drive sedan is used with long nose and short deck in order to represent dynamism. Long wheel base and the chrome details found from the door bottom emphasize the overall height and enhance its identity.

Specifically, the overall body design of new 7 series gives low and large look, although it is only 2mm lower than the past version of 7 series and the wheel base is not changed. With 14mm longer front overhang, 5mm longer rear overhang, the changes of volume and design details, new 7 series ultimately can give such impression.
