Renault-Samsung, a new design identity is presented through SM6

[Kim, Song-Yi] Renault-Samsung’s SM6 suggests a new direction of Renault design. Along with Renault emblem, the new design identity which consists of head lamps and LED daytime running lights placed at the bumper has been ready to be used as a brand symbol.

In terms of the front, Renault’s signature grille is used. The grille placed between the front bumper and the bonnet emphasizes the sense of unity with head lamps, which makes SM6 look future-oriented and strong. The fender emphasizes its volume to present dynamic image, and overall, SM6 is given large and low style.
In terms of the rear part, thin rear lamps that emphasize emblem are notable. With its thick bumper and rear lamps located at the top of the rear body, SM6 looks like a sports sedan. Along with it, the area of the side panel is extended in order to give sporty sense, and larger greenhouse adds openness feeling.
