Kia K5, emphaszing sporty image through its future-oriented look

[Kim, Song-Yi] Kia K5 is a successor to 1st K5 design to present future-oriented exterior design. Overall body line emphasizes face, and based on the K5’s original silhouette, K5 gives sporty sense.

In terms of the front of the body, the grille design that comes from the 1st generation is extended to the head lamps in order to emphasize the sense of unity. LED daytime running lights are located at the end of the head lamps which make the entire body look bigger. The air intakes placed both ends of the bumper are made with chrome materials, which presents dynamism and luxurious image.

In terms of the K5’s side design, face is emphasized with simpleness and the coupe-like roof line is a distinctive point. Opera glass is added at the C pillar to get rid of a stuffy feeling given by thick body panel. The unique chrome line that is from A pillar to the trunk is notable point as well. In terms of the rear part, sporty image is made through placing keen rear lamps on the top.
