[Kim, Song-Yi] Audi TT is the icon of Audi design. 1st generation TT was revealed in Frankfort Motor Show held in 1995. It caught attention with its design similar to the concept car. The exterior design inspired by circle and dorm pursues simpleness. TT’s such design direction gives huge impact not only on Audi itself but on the other automakers’ design.
3rd generation Audi TT is entirely new designed based on the proportion of 2nd generation model. Emphasizing the straight line gives refined sense through its hexagonal grille and head lamps. Also, the emblem originally placed on the grille is moved to the bonnet to make more polished look.
In terms of the side, the roof line starting from A pillar and the emphasized wheel house present a dynamic image that as if it actually drives. In terms of rear part of the body, a thick bumper and dorm-shaped wheel house offer sporty sense. The same details with the head lamps are used for the rear lamps in order to give a sense of unity.
