Peter Schreyer, “the new K7 is a future of Kia′s design”

[Kim, Song-Yi] Peter Schreyer Hyundai-Kia design chief designer said that the new K7 is a future of Kia’s design on 17th through his video interview.

Schreyer said “New K7 is a prestigious sedan designed under the concept of luxury. New K7 is a future of Kia’s design, and it will devote itself into making Kia as a world premium brand.”

Also, he added “ The design of new K7 is completed with a perfectly designed to be seen to have a luxurious look from every side.”

New K7 is a improved model from the 1st generation K7 that has a successful design identity. More luxurious and more aggressive design is adopted for the front, and the overall body is longer to deliver prestigious sense.

‘Z’ shape deployed for head and rear lamps is a core factor of the design as it completes overall design connectivity and unity of each design factor.

Side greenhouse becomes longer to deliver more luxurious sense, and the line of the pillar and window graphic are continued to the rear side in order to make feel speed. In terms of rear side, all details of the car is integrated and chrome bar is deployed as a design point.
