The key of Tivoli Air′s design is ‘balance’

[Kim, Song-Yi] Ssangyong’s Tivoli Air released in March 8, gives different images with Tivoli. Its overhang is 245mm longer to expand luggage space, and new design features are used for the front, rear, C pillar and D pillar.

Especially, the design balance of rear side is impressive. Generally, a model with longer rear overhang looks unbalanced as the center of gravity is at the rear part. Tivoli Air, however, has balanced appearance with the stable proportion between the front overhang and rear overhang, as it had considered to be developed when Tivoli was at its initial stage of the development. The front overhang of Tivoli Air is 775mm and rear overhang is 700mm.

In addition, Tivoli Air gets windows on C pillar for openness assessment, and it becomes 35mm higher, and the roof silhouette which becomes lower as it goes backwards, has been changed into flat one. In terms of the model without sunroof, customer can choose between black or white colored roof. Rear fender emphasizes dynamism.

In terms of Tivoli Air’s front, its own babel-typed bumper has been used. It emphasized three dimensional appearance more than Tivoli, and colors can be chosen based on the body color, which indicates the color scheme has been considered as well.

In terms of the rear part, Tivoli Air has concave design to look bigger visually, while Tivoli has convex appearance. The design of the bottom of the bumper is simple and easy to give stable look. The different signature is used for the bigger rear lamps, and the winglike emblem has been used for differentiated appearance.
